Elsie Rempel

I just finished reading through this year’s KidsPak and would like to share my excitement about this year’s Sunday School project book. These are projects worthy of spiritual, emotional, and yes, financial investment through your children’s collections.

I’ve spent many years at the helm teaching and coordinating Sunday School, and I know how good it is to have a handy, well organized, user friendly and worthwhile collection of projects.

There are always other good choices, but consider the advantages of using our own Mennonite Church Canada produced KidsPak:

  1. The children in your congregation will develop a greater sense of Mennonite-flavoured Christian stewardship. The joy of giving can become contagious when your collection time is accompanied by the stories and activities in KidsPak!

  2. Your whole congregation can develop a greater awareness of the activities of the broader Mennonite Church. Your Sunday School could teach (and even challenge!) the adults about what God is doing in the broader Mennonite Church. The projects
range from developing great resources to supporting Witness activities in Canada, Thailand, Macau and a global Mennonite art project. The Art Display may come to a church near you after it inspires participants at the next Mennonite World Conference
    in Zimbabwe in 2003.

  3. Need extra copies of the activities pages? You can retrieve the entire booklet in electronic form from the Mennonite Church Canada website.

  4. Finally, these projects make participating in God’s mission a lot of fun!
