Primary duties

Assistant to the librarian.

Assignment description

The library volunteer will assist the librarian with miscellaneous tasks associated with the general management and activities needed in a library setting. Work includes shelving books, labeling books, printing labels, typing as needed, using the library bar coder to classify and categorize books. This volunteer should be flexible and willing to adapt to the work setting in versatile way.

Qualifications

• Christian faith with a vision and belief supporting the work of Bethlehem Bible College,
• library experience would be an asset

Location Factors

• Accommodation will be in the dorm area of Bethlehem Bible College.  Kitchen and dining room facilities are on campus.
• Transportation will be local and inexpensive.
• Travel in the West Bank can sometimes be restricted.

Financial Arrangements

Funding for short-term assignments is dependent on donations designated for the assignment. Mennonite Church Canada Witness will assist the Interns and Special Assignment workers by establishing a support fund to receive donations towards the anticipated costs of the internship assignment.
