Assignment
objective
This experience is designed to create a space for adults to enter into
an intentional process of faith formation within an Anabaptist
perspective.
This program will also help young adults to develop their leadership
abilities. The program is 12 months long and has three phases:
- Orientation:
The first month of orientation in an urban setting is designed to set
the background and expectations for the ongoing conversations, study,
reflection, service and practice of spiritual disciplines that will continue
throughout the year.
- Cross-cultural experience: The next 10
months are spent in an international service location. In most locations
participants will live with host families and participate in a variety
of service opportunities connected to the local faith community.
- Integration:
Upon returning, participants will be asked to spend one month integrating
their experience and learnings back into their home church communities.
It
is our prayer that participants will continue to influence and form
communities of faith and service and participate in the work of calling
others to a lifestyle of following Jesus Christ. For more information
or to start the application process fill out our General
Expression of Interest form or call the Human Resources
office at MC Canada toll-free at 1-866-888-6785, extension 110.
