Children's Stories:
Based on the Common Lectionary Bible Texts
A weekly collection of simple children's stories that follow the lectionary texts during "Ordinary Time." (Children's stories for the seasons of Advent-Epiphany and Lent-Pentecost are available by subscription of Leader magazine)
As an alternative summer children's story series, please also see the Leader summer worship materials.
Written by Mennonite Church Canada constituents, each story is based on one biblical point or theme and geared to a 4-8 year-old child's age level. Each story is accompanied with an object lesson or a set of "wondering" questions. For a good retelling of the biblical story, see the Lectionary Story Bible by Ralph Milton.
These thematic stories below are offered as a free download service, are credited to the individual writers and help connect our congregations as we worship in our specific locations.
