Indigenous-Settler Relations joins representatives of an ecumenical community to register solidarity with the Wet’suwet’en peoples who are defending their lands in opposition to the Coastal GasLink Pipeline. This pipeline violates the fundamental right of free, prior and informed consent (FPIC) of Indigenous Nations, endangers the lives of Indigenous peoples, and does not align with pathways for limiting global temperature rise to 1.5°C.

The Letter of Solidarity urges the federal government to halt this project and the associated erosion of trust with Indigenous Nations.

We have one month left to reach our Global Companionship goals for this year.

We are inviting your support for an additional $48,000 by the end of March!

Why Global Companionship?

The goal of mission is not primarily aid (humanitarian assistance); it’s not even partnership. We engage in mission to establish friendships that lead to the formation of a new people in the world... If we are in Christ, we have become part of a new creation.
