Gathering 2022 virtual registration now open

In-person event in Edmonton to be livestreamed on Pheedloop

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Registration for Mennonite Church Canada’s virtual Gathering 2022 experience is now open.

We Declare: what we have seen and heard in Edmonton, Alberta, from July 29 to Aug. 1 will be available to virtual participants across Mennonite Church Canada’s nationwide community of faith.

“It is important to us that our event is accessible to everyone across our nationwide church, regardless of whether or not they can make the trip out to Edmonton,” said Doug Klassen, executive minister for Mennonite Church Canada.

All of We Declare’s worship and plenary sessions will be livestreamed through Pheedloop, a virtual-event software platform. Virtual registrants will be able to view these sessions live or at a later time, to network with one another and participate in virtual workshops.

“It’s our intent that our virtual participants won’t just be viewers of screens, but feel like active participants in our sessions,” says Calvin Quan, moderator of Mennonite Church Canada.

Individual registration costs $150. Congregations who wish to screen the event in their church during the Gathering 2022 weekend can register for a group rate by contacting their regional church communicator.

Registration fees help Mennonite Church Canada cover the costs of livestream A/V production.
