IW Global Companion for July 2025 - Colombia

Iglesia Cristiana Menonita de Colombia (IMCOL-Colombian Mennonite Church) is a conference of congregations that seek to form and nurture churches that are communities of faith in God, and believers in Jesus Christ, the Spirit, the reign of God, justice, peace, love and nonviolence, shared leadership, discernment and community hermeneutics, service, missions and interrelationships with other communities.

Although small in size, only about 20 congregations, they are well known in Colombia for their work in peacebuilding and community service. 

They recently celebrated their 20th Annual Assembly together with an Anabaptism at 500 event.

Why Global Companionship?  

The goal of mission is not primarily aid (humanitarian assistance); it’s not even partnership. We engage in mission to establish friendships that lead to the formation of a new people in the world... If we are in Christ, we have become part of a new creation.
