IW Global Companion for August 2025 - South Korea

While a tiny minority within the larger Korean Christian community, Anabaptists in South Korea have influence well beyond their numbers. Mennonite Church South Korea is home to several Mennonite congregations that worship and work together. Korea Anabaptist Center provides resources in peace theology to the wider Christian community.

Restorative justice and peacebuilding work draw people together in common ministry that God has used in exciting ways. Mennonite Church Canada Witness workers, Bock Ki Kim and Sook Kyoung Park are involved in all these areas of ministry. Scott Kim and Cheryl Woelk act as volunteer liaisons for MC Canada ministry in South Korea.

We have one month left to reach our Global Companionship goals for this year.

We are inviting your support for an additional $48,000 by the end of March!

Why Global Companionship?

The goal of mission is not primarily aid (humanitarian assistance); it’s not even partnership. We engage in mission to establish friendships that lead to the formation of a new people in the world... If we are in Christ, we have become part of a new creation.
