Title: Outdoor Maintenance - Landscaping

Purpose of the Position: The landscaping around the Mennonite Church Canada/MCM building was done in 1991.  Soil around the building has sunk and shrubs are overgrown and unsightly.  The worker will remove the shrubs and remaining topsoil.  They will re-landscape the area to include an outdoor patio, flowerpots and some seating.

Time Commitment: 1 FTE with option of job sharing  

Term position 6-7 weeks (negotiable)

Start Date: immediately

Supervision: Executive Assistant, MC Canada (in coordination with Maintenance, CMU)

Key Duties:

• Remove weeds and cedar bushes from front entrance area
• Prepare area for drainage improvement – digging out sand and soils
• Assist with upgrading drainage
• Landscaping entrance area
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Self-motivated, energetic disposition
• Landscaping experience beneficial
• Ability to do physical labour
• Ability to use power tools
• Careful attention to detail
• Respect of COVID protocols

Salary Classification:  Hourly wage. $12.00/hr
