The New Spirit of Today
In June of 2002 Nanchong Television produced a 5 minute video about the
English language educational program at the Chinese Church in Nanchong,
China. This English program was planned and directed by the China Educational
Exchange Workers in Nanchong. The video is presented here as a computer
file with some modifications:
- The video is the original.
- The left channel audio is an English commentary by Todd Hanson describing
what you are seeing in the video (there is no commentary until the river
scene).
- The right channel audio is an English translation of the original
Chinese narration.
!WARNING! This file is HUGE, about 30 MegaBytes.
Please follow these directions to use this file:
- You must have QuickTime installed. Click
here to get to the free download of QuickTime.
- Make sure to choose the right download, you may or may not want
the one that includes iTunes (a free music player)
- You must have a high speed internet connection or a very reliable
modem connection with a LOT of time and patience!
- You must download this file and use the QuickTime
Player to play it properly. Only the QuickTime player will allow you
to control which of the two audio tracks you wish to listen to.
- After the file has downloaded, "unzip" it - Help
with zip files
- After it has been unzipped, open it with QuickTime Player
- From the "Movie" menu choose "Double Size"
- From the "Movie" menu choose "Show Sound Controls"
- Use the "BALANCE" controls to choose left (-) for commentary
or right (+) for English
- Click on the play button.
