Meserete Kristos Church (MKC) is the fastest growing and largest Anabaptist/Mennonite denomination in Mennonite World Conference. For more than 20 years Mennonite Church Canada has supported the development of Meserete Kristos Seminary, which serves as a significant leadership training centre. More recently Meserete Kristos Church and Mennonite Church Canada have formalized a sister-church relationship with a focus on mutual encouragement, prayer, and support in areas of leadership development and church planting. MKC will host the Mennonite World Conference gathering in 2028.  This summer at the MC Canada Gathering in Kitchener, Kelbessa Muleta Demena, vice president of MKC invited us all to come and meet them!  We have one month left to reach our Global Companionship goals for this year.  

We are inviting your support for an additional $48,000 by the end of March!

Why Global Companionship?  

The goal of mission is not primarily aid (humanitarian assistance); it’s not even partnership. We engage in mission to establish friendships that lead to the formation of a new people in the world... If we are in Christ, we have become part of a new creation.
